Mentor program on the Campus of the University of Applied Sciences Europe (UE)

Launch event of the mentor program on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Europe (UE) in Hamburg.

On 20 September the launch event of the mentor program took place on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Europe (UE) Hamburg. Prof. Dr. Frederico Foders, President of the IWS, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Saaman, chairman of IWS Young and Saly Theobald, welcomed the mentors, all the IWS senators and the students. Lars Holtvoeth, registrar of the UE, welcomed the entire workforce, followed by Nina Bielau, Romana Beczala and Silke Bromann, who were present at the  three UE sites in Hamburg, Berlin and Iserlohn.

The group of selected students comes from the areas of Business Administration, Business Psychology and Entrepreneurial Economics and have been matched in recent weeks based on the short CVs of senators who provide themselves as mentors. A big thank you goes to René Troche, Guido Sieber, Thomas Seipolt, Matthias Graf, Carsten Fest, Marco Rolof and Felix Gellermann as well as Josef Terhardt and Markus Rauch, who unfortunately could not be there. The launch event offered both sides the opportunity to get to know each other in person and to exchange ideas.

The goal of the mentor program is to provide students with the opportunity to combine the knowledge gained in the university with practice, to be accompanied and encouraged by experienced leaders, and to provide them with guidance in their development.

The event was rounded off by a tour of the  UE. It was a very interesting and informative event and we are curious to see where the mentee route will lead us to.
